Day 1 of the SIA Show - Next Winter's Gear Preview

The snow sports industry has descended upon Colorado in a major way. The X Games have just finished in Aspen and now the Snowsports Industry of America hosts the annual trade show to preview next years gear. There is a collection of events that then lends to 2 days of on snow demos, followed by the World Championships in Vail.

Accessories galore for gadgets on the mountain. 

The show is full of athletes and stars such as Julie Mancuso's autograph session at the Head booth.

Elan introduces a new Jr Ski, Boot and binding the new U-flex technology from Elan

Snow safety is always a concern as we know the hazards of the back country and non one knows safety better than the folks at BCA who introduces Float Avalanche Airbag Systems.

Not to be outdone, The North Face is showcasing their airbag for avalanche safety.

In the alpine ski boot category Apex Ski Boot System continues to create a buzz on their boots. New this year is a rewards program Apex Inside Edge we will cover in more detail in another post.
