Pats Peak Ski Area Lift Ticket Discounts, free lift ticket and mountain improvements

Pats Peak Ski area in Henniker New Hampshire will once again extend discounted lift tickets for premium mountain sports club members this coming 2017.18 winter ski and snowboard season. Daily discounts range from $50 off daily to $10 off the day lift ticket. The Premium plus membership which allows the member to select a free day or 2 of skiing/riding at select resorts is now available with the Free Pats Peak ticket option while supplies last. Here's a list of what you can look forward to this upcoming season:

--New Peak Triple Chair
The ole Peak Double Chair was a good one. But with the new triple chair lift Pats Peak will be doubling the capacity of the lift from 800 to 1,600 people per hour! Also, they will be deploying some newer technology at the bottom of the lift with a conveyor carpet system that will make loading easier and faster, cutting down on the ride time to the summit.

-Additional Energy-Efficient Snowmaking Fan Guns
As a big fan of powder and this year is no exception! Improvements to provide early season skiing/riding continues to be at the forefront of our upgrades with another $250,000 investment into our already impressive 100% state-of-the-art snowmaking coverage system. This year’s investment is the addition of six (6) Fan Guns from Snow Machines Inc. We were the first ski area in New Hampshire to offer snowmaking and continue today to be a ski industry leader. With our new snow guns, we will be able to open more terrain even faster and sustain it longer, even through stretches with marginal winter temperatures!

--More Lodge Space
We are midway through our lodge expansion and renovation. When it is complete, it will add more seating, an elevator and new bathrooms along with expanded locker service. This year’s expansion work will be done on the middle A-frame of the lodge and by adding more seating on the cafeteria level.

-More Rental Equipment in the Rental Shop
Every season we add to the Starting Gate Rental Shop's already impressive rental fleet. This season renters will find new Elan skis, boots and poles along with new Burton snowboard boots. The 9,600 square foot Starting Gate Rental Shop is Northern New England’s largest rental shop. The Rental Shop will continue to provide fast service to renters with its self-service check-in service, where renter information is stored to make each rental process quicker. This allows skiers and riders out on the slopes even faster.

-New Deck Heaters
Brand new deck heaters will take the edge off of that chill while skiers and riders are relaxing on the deck. These are state-of-the-art and incredibly efficient. They'll be placed throughout the third floor deck nearest the Sled Pub.

-Renovated Behind the Scenes Infrastructure
When a ski area turns 50 so does a lot of its "behind the scenes" stuff that delivers great experiences year in and year out. With these new, behind the scenes updates, guests will a notice much smoother process in the day-to-day operations.

Pats Peak just announced new trails and more for the coming 2014.15 winter ski and snowboard season. Two New Trails and One New Glade For The 2014/2015 Season along with snowmaking improvements and more. This is the 52nd consecutive ski and snowboard season under the same local family ownership. Pats Peak Ski Area improvements for the 14/15 season including two new trails and one new glade as part of the Cascade Basin expansion.

Cascade Basin
2 New Trails and 1 Glade - Pats Peak will unveil 2 New Trails and 1 New Glade in the Cascade Basin area. These new trails will be lined with state-of-the-art “snowflake technology” to continue to provide quality snow surfaces you’ve come to expect at Pats Peak.

The new beginner trail, Cascade Brook, will meander and follow the contour lines nicely with some great twists and turns. Adventure seekers will be able to pop off skiers left into a new gladed tree section.

Scirocco (shuh-rok-oh) is a black diamond trail that falls away skiers' right off of the Crosswind trail. She’ll cut left, then right through some trees all the while giving you some of the best sun and bumps on the mountain. She’ll drop you off at the bottom of the lift where you’ll get a chance to catch a break.

Additional Energy-Efficient Snowmaking Guns - Every year the snowmaking efforts gain enhancements to provide even more snowmaking power to the trails. This is a must for ensuring quality conditions all season.

This season seven additional Fan Guns from Snow Machines Inc. will be added to the snowmaking arsenal to improve snow output. Fan guns require 80-85% less compressed air than other technologies, while putting out more snow in marginal temperature conditions.

An additional 20 new low energy snowmaking towers from HKD Snowmakers will also be added to the fleet.

More Rental Equipment
Pats Peak is home to northern New England’s largest rental shop. Every season the Starting Gate Rental Shop continues to add to its already impressive rental fleet. This season PATS PEAK has invested over $100,000 in new rental equipment including skis, boots, junior skis, junior boots, twin tip skis, ski poles, helmets, Burton Learn-to-Ride snowboards, bindings and snowboard boots.

The state-of-the-art 9,600 square foot Rental Shop provides fast service to renters along with a carpet lift that takes guests and their equipment up to the slopes.

Updated High-Speed Internet Service
And finally if all goes according to plan, we will have 10 times the wireless internet access capabilities in our lodge with an all new high-speed internet service. There are lots of moving parts to make this happen but if the utility company does what is says it will do, the logjams will be a thing of the past.

INTRODUCING CASCADE BASIN
New Lift And New Trails For The 2013/2014 Season

Henniker, NH – PATS PEAK, southern New Hampshire’s favorite mountain, enters into its 51st consecutive ski and snowboard season under the same local family ownership.

There are exciting improvements in store for the 2013/2014 season with a new triple chairlift to service four new trails and one glade as part of the Cascade Basin expansion, a new area with 100% snow making coverage; (6) additional energy-efficient snow making guns; more rental equipment; and the installation of geothermal heating.

Kris Blomback, General Manager, commented, “We always strive to provide our guests with something new and exciting every season. This season we are excited to showcase our largest expansion project ever with the addition of Cascade Basin.”

New Triple Chairlift
This summer Pats Peak installed a new triple chairlift as part of their Cascade Basin Expansion. This will bring the number of chairlifts to six, giving Pats Peak the largest uphill capacity in the region to assure a great day on the snow.

4 New Trails and 1 Glade
Cascade Basin is a completely new area on the “backside” of the main mountain. For the 2013/2014 season, the new area will consist of four new ski trails as well as one new glade. The trails will have 100% snow making coverage to continue to provide quality snow surfaces. Future options include more terrain, night skiing and additional terrain parks.

To enter into the new area, skiers/riders will take the Backdraft trail, which will lead them to the bottom of the new triple chairlift. Trail names will be picked this summer via a Facebook Contest.

Blomback stated, “We are excited to add an entirely new area to our mix of trails. Skiers and riders are going to love exploring this new terrain to give them more variety. Last year our guests came up with a slew of good names in our trail naming contest so we are going to do it again with another Facebook trail naming contest.”

Upgraded Snow making Capabilities with Additional Energy-Efficient Snow making Guns
Every year the snow making efforts gain enhancements to provide even more snow making power to the trails. Fan guns require 20-25% less compressed air than other technologies, while putting out more snow in marginal temperature conditions. Pats Peak was the first ski area in New Hampshire to offer snow making and continues today to be an industry leader.

“Energy efficiency and the ability to open more terrain quickly remain our top priorities. These type of snow guns give us the ability to open more terrain faster and sustain it longer through stretches with marginal temperatures”, says Blomback.

Installation of Geothermal Heating
Every year Pats Peak takes steps to lessen the ski area’s environmental footprint. This season’s action includes adding geothermal heating to heat the base lodges and paved walkways. Geothermal heating is one of the most energy efficient, environmentally clean, and cost-effective ways to heat.  It generates far fewer greenhouse gas emissions than a conventional system.
