Crested Butte Mountain Resort Opens North Face and more Extreme Terrain

Crested Butte Resort home to some of the best extreme and steep skiing and snowboard terrain in Colorado and North America announced today the opening of more terrain for skiers and snowboarders. This press release went out today:

The North Face, Headwall and Teocalli Bowl are Open
Over 150 Inches of Snowfall So Far this Season

As the rest of the world waved good bye to 2008, the mountain crews here at Crested Butte Mountain Resort were abuzz with a flurry of activity preparing for the opening of our reknowned Extreme Terrain.

The highly anticipated first taste of adrenaline was served up on January 2nd with the opening of the North Face Lift (NFL for short.) The first turns of the year on terrain such as The Glades, Hawk's Nest and Last Steep were just enough to whet the apetites of the powder loving masses. Next up was the High Lift on January 4th, with new snow and terrain such as the Headwall and Big Chute the smiles in the valley just kept getting wider and wider. Yesterday, just when the infant New Year seemed like it couldn't get any better, patrol dropped the rope on the powder choked steeps of Teocalli Bowl.

With over 150 inches of natural snowfall and the continuous opening of new extreme terrain 2009 is starting off in epic fashion. Check out the amazing packages below and join us in keeping our New Year's Resolution alive...SKI MORE POWDER!

Make sure to get to Crested Butte this season to enjoy the great terrain. Looking for discount Crested Butte lift tickets? Make sure to visit the Mountain Sports Club and take advantage of advance purchase of lift tickets and save this year.
